Drawing on the Montessori Philosophy
However, the traditional cut wooden TRex puzzle also draws strongly from the Montessori philosophy. The Montessori method focuses on isolating concepts and directing a child’s attention to one idea at a time. The TRex dinosaur puzzle was designed with this in mind. The TRex image is centered, with little distraction in the background.
Traditional Cut Pieces
Although this puzzle is described as having traditional cut pieces, there is a twist. They are not the usual jigsaw puzzle shapes. The puzzle pieces are cut using irregular shapes, with every one being different. Don’t be fooled into thinking the 19 pieces will be a breeze. There are no edge pieces and no corner pieces to start with. Every piece is curved, knobbed, wavy or notched. A skeleton of the dinosaur is printed on the base of the puzzle.
